Is the site down?
Check whether a website is up or down, including status code, response time and IP address.
Common status codes
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| 200 | Everything is working. The page responded as expected. |
| 301 / 302 | The page redirects to another address. The tool follows the redirect and shows where it ends up. |
| 403 | The server is denying access. This is often caused by a firewall, bot protection, or incorrect file permissions. |
| 404 | The server is responding, but the page does not exist at that address. |
| 500 | An internal server error occurred. This is often caused by a code error, a plugin, or an issue in .htaccess. |
| 502 / 504 | An intermediate server received no response from the server behind it. This is often caused by overload or a service that has stopped. |
| 503 | The service is temporarily unavailable, for example during maintenance or under heavy load. |
About this tool
The tool visits the address from Admax servers in Sweden, follows any redirects and shows whether the site responds. You can see the status code, how long the response took, the final URL you ended up at and the IP address of the server.
If the site works here but not for you, the problem is likely closer to your end: your network, your browser cache or the DNS server you're using. If the site doesn't respond here either, the issue is with the server or its DNS.
Status codes in the 200 range mean everything is working. The 300 range means redirects. The 400 range means the server responds but the page is missing or access is denied. The 500 range means a server-side error.
Frequently asked questions
The site works here but not for me. What should I do?
Clear your browser cache, try a different browser or your phone without Wi-Fi. If the domain has recently changed servers, your computer may still have the old address cached for a while.
What does 503 mean?
The service is temporarily unavailable. This is usually due to maintenance or an overloaded server. Wait a moment and try again.
Why am I getting a 403 when the site is up?
The server is denying access. This could be a firewall, bot protection, incorrect file permissions or a rule in .htaccess.
Does the tool measure how fast my site is?
It shows how long the server takes to respond to the page itself. Images, scripts and other assets loaded afterwards are not included.
