Speed test
How fast is your website? Measure response time and find out what is slowing your page down.
About this tool
A slow website loses visitors and ranks lower in Google. The tool fetches your page from our server in Stockholm and measures how long it takes the server to respond and deliver the page, including any time added by redirects.
You will also see the factors that typically determine speed: whether the server compresses the page, whether it uses HTTP/2, how large the page is, how many scripts are blocking rendering, and whether images are in modern formats such as WebP and AVIF.
Response time is measured for the page itself, not for images and scripts. It primarily reflects how fast the server and web hosting are. Under 0.6 seconds is good; over 1.5 seconds is slow.
Frequently asked questions
Why is my site slow?
The most common causes are slow web hosting, oversized images, too many WordPress plugins, and no caching. The test shows which of these apply to your site.
Does speed affect my ranking in Google?
Yes. Google takes page load speed into account (Core Web Vitals), and a slow site causes more visitors to leave before it has finished loading.
What is a good response time?
Under 0.6 seconds for the page itself is good. Between 0.6 and 1.5 seconds, there is room for improvement. Over 1.5 seconds, visitors will notice the delay.
How do I make WordPress faster?
Use caching, reduce image sizes (WebP or AVIF), remove plugins you no longer need, and choose web hosting with fast servers. Managed WordPress at Admax handles caching and updates for you.
