About this tool
The generator builds an SPF record from your selections: the domain's own servers, IP addresses, and the email services that send on the domain's behalf. Everything runs in your browser.
Include every service that sends email using your domain as the sender address, including newsletters, online shops, and invoicing systems. Any service you leave out will have its email marked as suspicious or rejected.
The generator counts the DNS lookups in the record. The limit is 10, and each include may contain further lookups. Check the record with the SPF checker once it has been published.
Frequently asked questions
Where do I add the record?
As a TXT record on the domain itself, in DNS with whoever hosts your name servers. The name is @ or left blank. If the domain already has an SPF record, replace it — don't add a second one.
Why isn't my service listed?
The service will tell you what to add — usually an include: followed by a domain name. Enter that in the custom includes field.
Do I need a and mx?
Only if the web server or the email servers in MX themselves send email. Otherwise they just waste two lookups for no reason.
