Is the domain available?
Check whether a domain name is available and see at the same time if it is free on .se, .nu, .com and .eu.
About this tool
Enter the name you want, with or without a top-level domain. The tool queries the registry to check whether the domain is already registered, and at the same time checks the same name under .se, .nu, .com and .eu.
If the domain is available, you can go ahead and order it. If it's taken, you'll see when the registration expires and can look up more details in whois.
This result reflects the current moment. An available domain can be registered by someone else at any time, so don't wait too long once you've found a name you like.
Frequently asked questions
Can I get a domain that's already registered?
Only if the current holder lets it expire or sells it. Check the expiry date in whois. If it isn't renewed, it becomes available again after a quarantine period.
Should I choose .se or .com?
If you're targeting Swedish customers, .se is usually the natural choice. If you operate internationally, .com fits better. Many people register both to protect the name.
Can domain names include å, ä and ö?
Yes, .se, .nu, .com and .eu all support å, ä and ö. Bear in mind that email and some systems still handle such names less reliably, so many people also register a version without those characters.
What does it mean when the result comes from DNS?
If the registry's whois doesn't respond, we check DNS instead. This is a less reliable result, so verify again when you place your order.
